Ryan was born and raised in Maywood and is a graduate of both Maywood Avenue School and Hackensack High School. He has worked in healthcare for over 20 years and currently manages the Patient Experience department at a local medical center where he improves safety, quality and satisfaction for patients navigating the health system.
Given current events, this role has taken on new meaning. His love of Maywood and the people in it have opened doors to many opportunities in the community to give back. Ryan has been an assistant coach for the past several years in Maywood Little League baseball and recreational soccer. In addition, he serves as a catechist in Our Lady Queen of Peace’ religious education department. He is currently on the borough’s Planning Board and a member of the municipal Green Team. Finally, he has been a member of the Borough Council since 2017. He has had the distinct pleasure to serve with incredibly dedicated men and women in both present and past administrations. He is seeking re-election to continue his service to the community as a councilperson. Ryan sees Maywood as a resilient, progressive, and ever-changing community that has never lost the small-town feel that draws so many of us to calling it home. His wife Christina and son Lucas are the source of his optimism and motivation to continue to bring out the best Maywood has to offer to both its residents and visitors. .
