Re-elect Council President, Councilwoman and Municipal Committeewoman JACQUELINE DEMURO for Council
Jackie DeMuro and her husband Bob have lived in Maywood for twenty years. Together they have one daughter, Hannah, of whom they are very proud. Jackie has served the town in many capacities over the years including: Board of Education trustee; member of the Maywood Library Board; troop leader with Maywood Girl Scouts, where she was instrumental in creating the first Fall Festival; Memorial School PTO, where she served as President; the Hackensack High School PTSA, where she served as Chairperson for Project Graduation; and Parent Fundraising Coodinator for HHS Field Hockey. She is a member of the Bergen County Democratic Committee, WEDO Bergen County, and the Maywood Democratic Club, where she is program director. Jackie earned a B.A. in History from Ramapo College of New Jersey where she graduated magna cum laude, served as Vice-President and President of Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society, and participated in Ramapo’s Theater Arts program. She has worked in the restaurant industry for over thirty years. She has been bartending and serving at Longhorn Steakhouse in Rochelle Park for the past ten years. Prior to that she spent nineteen years, in the same role, at Pizzeria Uno in Paramus, New Jersey. Jackie loves baseball. She is a New York Mets fan. In 2017 she and Bob set a goal to visit every Major League Ballpark. So far? Five! They also have two cats, Nancy and Vi, who are a couple of characters.

Re-elect Councilwoman and Municipal Committeewoman JACQUELINE FLYNN for Council
Jacquie Flynn and her husband Mike Baker have two wonderful sons, Ian and Zachary, and have lived in Maywood for 23 years. She has been in book publishing her entire career and today is a Literary Agent with Joelle Delbourgo Associates where she represents award-winning authors of fiction and non-fiction for both children and adults. She is an editorial agent who has negotiated contracts with major NY publishers, including HarperCollins, St. Martin’s, Simon & Schuster, Hachette Books, Bloomsbury, & Penguin Random House. Jacquie is a member of WEDO Bergen County, the Bergen County Democratic Committee, and the Maywood Democratic Club where she is currently Vice President. She is also an active member of Central Unitarian Church where she serves as the Chair of the Religious Education Committee. While her sons were growing up she was an enthusiastic hockey/volleyball/soccer/band Mom who served numerous seasons as team manager for travel hockey and led many fundraising campaigns for Hackensack High School Ice Hockey and Boys Volleyball. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Bucknell University where she majored in International Relations and rowed on the Women’s Crew team.
